STATIONS OF THE
XII

WHEN DID YOU COME HERE LAST?
Station Twelve:
Amanda Cook, John—Paul Gentile

The years that all felt wasted / Maybe it was being collected instead

Some things don’t need to be resurrected
/ Some things
need to stay dead

Everything that has felt fragmented—or scattered
— or split — or all over the place  / God is re-assembling in such a magnificent way

Station Twelve /
Jesus  speaks to
his mother and
the beloved disciple

[ The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. ]

[ “Dear woman, here is your son… Here is your mother.” ]

Isaiah 61.1—2
John 19.25—27
